Important Appointment Information
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. While many things have changed in the past few months, our commitment to your safety has not. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes ensure that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to share with you the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep and our staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We stay up-to-date on any new guidance that may be issued.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
• Prior to your appointment, we will be reaching out to you to update your health history and other information through our secure portal. This will include a COVID-19 screening questionnaire. These are simple questions, but they are critical for us to know prior to your appointment. You will be asked these screening questions again upon your arrival at the office.
• When you arrive at our office, please call 415-456-8735, and we will let you know when your provider and room are ready. Our goal is to limit your time in the waiting room and your contact with others.
• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. Additional hand sanitizer is in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed. You must wear a mask in the office. If you do not have a mask, let us know, and we will provide one for you.
• You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys, etc., since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
When you are escorted to your treatment room, you will notice we look a little different as well. We will be wearing additional gowns, larger face masks, and face shields. While we may be hidden under all this protective equipment, we are still the same smiling, joyful providers you have come to know.
We look forward to seeing you again, and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 415-456-8735.
